ELIGIBILITY: Contest is offered only to legal residents of the 50 United States including the District of Columbia (they must be at least 18 years old when they enter the contest). Eligibility is not open to employees and directors of TheNerds.net ("TheNerds.net"), affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies and each immediate family members or members of the same households of such employees and directors. By entering, you agree to follow the Official Rules and the decisions of TheNerds.net or its designee, which are final.
DESCRIPTION and HOW TO ENTER: Promotion period begins March 9, 2009 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and ends on April 5, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. (EST) ("Promotion Period"). A day begins at 12:00:00 a.m. (EST) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (EST). In this contest, you can submit stories and vote online. Based on the number of votes, the authors of the most popular stories will win prizes. Additionally, after each week of voting, random voters will be selected for prizes. A voter can vote for as many stories as many times as desired. However, a voter can win no more than one prize. Story authors can vote on their own stories once per day. An author can win only one of the three grand prizes and no more than one weekly prize for voting.
To be eligible, stories must be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. March 31.

Entries submitted any other way will not be valid. Website visitors will be able to vote on their favorite stories. You may submit as many stories as you want, but TheNerds.net reserves the right to determine how it presents stories to voters.
Voting begins at 12 p.m. (EST), March 16, giving participants an opportunity to begin submitting their stories. Voting will end April 5, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. (EST).

TheNerds.net can delete and/or disqualify any submission if the TheNerds.net determines that the entry is vulgar, offensive or otherwise inappropriate for publishing. The TheNerds.net is not responsible for late entries or a story or vote that is not transmitted correctly for any reason.
FINAL SELECTION PROCESS AND SELECTION OF WINNERS: Authors will win prizes if their stories get the most votes (top three vote getters). TheNerds.net has the right to select or disqualify any entries. Three winners will be selected on or about April 6, 2009 from among all eligible entries. Winners will be notified by email. Prizes may be forfeited and awarded to others if the winner doesn’t respond to the email prize notification within three business days.

Winners may not seek an alternative prize, but the TheNerds.net (in the event of unavailability), may award a prize of equal or greater value. The winners, not the TheNerds.net, are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes.
RIGHT TO USE SUBMISSION AND INFORMATION: By submitting an entry, you grant to TheNerds.net and its affiliated companies the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your stories, name, address (only city and state), for advertising and promotional purposes in promoting or publicizing TheNerds.net and its products or services, without compensation unless required by law. You shall have no right of approval, no claim to compensation, and no claim (including, without limitation, claims based on invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) arising out of any use, blurring, alteration, or use in composite form of your name, address (only city and state), or entry. The rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to TheNerds.net and its affiliated companies with respect to all entrants in the Contest, including non-winners and winners.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Prize winners must complete, execute and return a Liability Release, and where lawful, Publicity Release within seven (7) days of first attempted notification. If a winner is found not to be in compliance with these Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected. Further, each participant and winner releases and agrees to hold harmless TheNerds.net, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any Contest related activity, or participation in this Contest.
TheNerds.net’S DISCRETION: TheNerds.net can disqualify anyone it believes is in violation of the Official Rules (including harassing anyone else. Entries will be disqualified if someone uses robotic or other automated means to submit stories or vote on stories.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: TheNerds.net is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information – regardless of how it is transmitted. The TheNerds.net is not responsible for any damage to a computer used in any way for the Contest, including those who try to submit stories or vote. If the Contest, for any reason, can’t be continued, the TheNerds.net can cancel, alter or suspend this Contest and pick the winners in a manner that the TheNerds.net decides is fair.
DISPUTES: To participate in this Promotion, participants agree that any and all disputes that can’t be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively, before a court located in North Miami Beach having competent jurisdiction, which Court shall apply the laws of the State of Florida without regard for doctrines of Conflict of Law. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys' fees, other than participant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Promotion), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
