Summary: This will be my second Oster Steamer. My first one broke after 7 years of use so I'm happy with it. You can use this for everyday use, especially if you have kids. Steam veggie is a must.

Summary: This is a very nice food steamer that quickly became one of our most favorite gadgets in the kitchen. It is very convenient to use -- we simply add water, set the timer and it takes care of the rest things! We like to steam a variety of foods and before purchasing this steamer, we had always worried about water running out and we had to check the water lever from time to time. Now with this gadget all the worries are gone! The only little concern is that it's totally constructed with plastic and we don't know how long it could last. We wish there are stainless steal versions of this type of digital steamers in the market, but maybe we did not search hard enough, or maybe this market is yet to grow?

Summary:

The machine has lived up to my expectations with the only disappointment being the hard to read digital timer. I have to use a flashlight to be sure I'm putting in the correct cooking time since the display consists of black numerals on a gray background.
