SIIG Low-Profile PCI-1S

The Low Profile PCI-1S from SIIG is an excellent low profile serial adapter designed to add one additional 9-pin (RS232) serial port for low profile space constrained PCI-enabled desktop computers. This serial adapter card comes with one high-speed 16550 UART DB9 serial port supporting data transfer rates of up to 230 Kb/s. The serial port can work as either standard RS232 (DB9) port, or can be configured for 5V /12V power outputs for serial devices that require power such as handheld scanners, table scanners, and POS displays. The Low Profile PCI-1S adapter features IRQ sharing to reduce IRQ conflicts, built-in 32-byte FIFO buffers to dramatically increase data transmit/receive speed especially under Windows multitasking environment, and PME (Power Management Event) that allows device to request a change in system power state (wake up system). It comes with an enhanced bend-resistant bracket to provide a more secure connection to the system, and is a cost-effective and reliable solution to connect a wide variety of serial port devices such as 56K V.90 external modems, ISDN terminal adapters, PDAs, digital cameras, label printers and more.
