This product requires a microphone designed for speech recognition, which must be obtained separately. Visit www.scansoft.com/viavoice/support/compatibility/ for a complete list of supported microphones. Printable User's Guide and and Command Reference Card are available as pdf files on the product CD. IBM ViaVoice for Mac OS X is optimized for the G4 processor. Power Mac G3 and PowerBook G3 systems introduced before August 1998 are not supported. G3 systems upgraded from older machines are not supported. Note to Mac OS X - Unix File System (UFS) users: - IBM ViaVoice for Mac OS X has been designed to take advantage of the Extended File System, also known as HFS+. Installation of ViaVoice for Mac OS X in a UFS volume is not supported.
