Summary: I have had some issues with DVD players not reading the media. I recorded a few movies and 3 different players from Sony, Samsung, and a third party were unable to play some of the DVD's. Some worked and some didn't. I then switched back to 4 speed media and had no problems. I am going to assume that the ink they use for the 16 speed is difficult for some lasers to pick up. I should have done more research on the issues with the newer high speed media. I have a newer Plextor Burner and will see if DVD's written with it are more reliable. Used an HP burner before. That might be the issue.

Strengths: Top of the line and comes with the best software.
Summary: I'm very happy with this burner. It came with power producer which is the easiest to use for ripping and many other tasks. I haven't used the lightscribe technology yet cause the discs are too expensive and aren't very common yet but I have used the double layer and it wasn't too terribly slow in fact it burns in double layer faster than alot of burners burn on regular discs.
