The Magellan TrafficKit for the Maestro 4040 and 4050 enables your device to receive live traffic information and help you adjust your journey based on incidents. There is no installation required and a 3-month service subscription is included. The TrafficKit receives traffic reports from NAVTEQ NavTraffic and sends them to your Magellan Maestro 4040 or 4050, which uses this information to make advanced calculations adjusting the time and distance to destination and re-calculating your route if a quick way is available. On-screen icons show the location of traffic problems such as accidents, road construction, lane reductions, slow-downs, narrowed roads and more.
