Summary: I didn't seem to have a range problem as others noticed. Matter of fact I even moved the set to about 10ft away for testing range, and it worked perfectly for me.
Not sure where this would go, because it's more an individual's preference, but the keys are more soft-touch like a laptop with big buttons, rather than other Logitech wireless keyboards such as the ones that came with the MX700 & MX900 sets. I kind of liked them myself!
The LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse's symmetrical shape makes it equally suitable for lefties and righties. It includes a button above each rubber side grip and has a tilt wheel for horizontal scrolling. It was not as nice as either my MX700 or MX900 series wireless mice, but it isn't a horrible mouse either.
I did not seem to have lag with either mouse or keyboard, as well as not have any skip problems with the mouse. That can sometimes be attributed to poor/weak batteries or the surface the mouse is used on, and the laser mice seem to sometimes have quirky problems with some surface colors or designs ... make sure check both of those as the problem source before calling it quits on the mouse.
All-in-all it's not a bad set, but I still wouldn't take it over either of my much older Logitech cordless MX700 or MX900 sets ... but since those aren't rightly available anymore, the Cordless Wave would be OK.

Strengths: Easy Setup in Vista. VERY comfortable to type. Most intuitive hot keys I've seen.
Summary: This is the most comfortable keyboard I've ever owned. It works perfectly with Vista. I love the layout of the hot keys (Media Center, Volume Controls, Scrolling and Zoom features). The Scrolling feature is really neat (requires the Logitech software that is included). I downloaded the software directly from Logitech rather than running it from the CD. I actually had to call their support center right before their closing time and the individual stayed past normal hours to help me. The problem was with the file I downloaded that didn't install properly (my fault). Raving fan of this keyboard.

Summary: i was a little disappointed that this keyboard only has a range of about 6 feet from the base receiver, but for a keyboard it feels ok. im not sure if the 'wave' design really does that much for me. the keyboard does feel a little 'cheap' when you press the keys and each key has a lot of space in between them because of the wave design. if you prefer the laptop style keybord feeling and response, i wouldnt get this keyboard. or if you need something with more range than just a few feet too. if your system is a little sluggish at times youll notice the mouse skip a lot too.
