Strengths: Great wireless range-Good response time-Comfortable feel-Good weight-Logitech product-I have been pleased with the quality of their products.
Summary: Descriptive:
This Logitech Cordless Action Controller for the PS2 is the second generation (second try) controller from Logitech. This controller is what one would expect for a quality wireless controller.
Logitech got their act together and eliminated two of the batteries (first generation had four, this version has only two), decreasing the weight and the size.
This controller uses 2.4 GHz for its frequency which is competitive with other new release wireless controllers.
This controller does have a vibration function that can be turned on or off (not all wireless controllers have the vibration function).
Battery life is as described - 50+ hours with vibration off, somewhat less if left on all the time and used non-stop.
This controller has an EIGHT-WAY directional pad.
The good:
The weight with the new design and only two batteries is just right. The size is just a little larger than a standard Sony Dual Shock Controller (sSDSC)(not enough to notice). Button placement is still reachable.
All buttons respond well (no lag time at all) at the 30 feet range (as advertised) and beyond if using in \"line-of-sight\" of the receiver.
Vibration function is great to have on a wireless controller. Why would you want a controller without it? Even if it does drain the batteries a little faster.
The not-so-good:
Battery life is only typical - I have high expectations - YES battery life is as descriped, so Logitech is NOT misleading anyone. I am always wanting just a little more out of battery life. (see below for discussion of items that some may consider \"not-so-good\")
The receiver that plugs into the controller port is too large for the slim PS2. If the slim PS2 is lying flat, then the receiver is not flush with the bottom of the console so it elevates the console. If the slim PS2 is standing on its side it is fine, just not flush with the \"bottom\" side of the console. This could be a problem depending on where you like to place your console.
Comments/Recommendations/Suggestions: I now have two of these controllers. I have been very pleased with almost ALL aspects of it. As mentioned, I would prefer longer battery life. I like to play using the vibration \"on\" and this tends to drain the batteries faster.
SOLUTION: Think about investing in two sets of rechargeable batteries (two sets per controller - I have a total of eight rechargeable batteries - four per controller - that I swap in and out). I am not swapping batteries in and out every day, but when they run down (after about 30 - 40 hours with vibration \"on\" all the time) the controller just quits. Again, I am being very picky about this, mainly because there just isn't that much to complain about with this controller.
There are some controversial issues with this controller. The action buttons are more rounded than a sSDSC. I just don't find this to be that bothersome, I actually prefer it, but I have read that some do not.
The directional pad is definitely looser than that of the sSDSC. This controller has an eight-way directional pad. Now that I am used to it, I like the directional pad on this controller better than the sSDSC. Again, others have found this bothersome.
Logitech did not try to create a flashy controller. It comes in standard flat black and is somewhat larger than the sSDSC. For those that prefer the \"mini\" controllers out there or those that are clear or glow, then there may be some disappointment with this controller - Function vs. Style. In my view function wins out every time.
I highly recommend this controller. For just five to six dollars more than a sSDSC I believe it is definitely worth the extra.

Strengths: Great Response Time, Good fit and comfort, Rumble Feature and on and off option, easy to use and no signal interruption, officially licensed PS2 product, No more cable mess!
Summary: If you have been wanting a wireless PS2 Controller this is the one to get. It is just like using the regular PS2 controller without any of the problems that have plagued the other 3rd party wireless controllers (delays, interruptions etc.). The product is officially licensed by Sony which is a plus as well. This would explain the exceptional level of quality. It works even better than Nintendo's wave bird since it has rumble. I've suffered no connection problems or delays in response from using this controller and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless controller. Also the 2 AA batteries last for 300 hours without rumble 50 with rumble so there's plenty of time. No more tangled wires? woot i'll take that!

Strengths: Comfortable feel, good rumble for a wireless controller, have yet to see any lag, battery life.
Summary: I'm quite happy I purchased this controller. I previously had a Pelican wireless PS2 controller, which wasn't very good. It had an awkward shape/feel, the rumble was very weak, and the signal would periodically cut out. This one is worlds better. Everything about it is great. The shape, size, battery life, are all great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a PS2 controller.
