Summary: Lexar has always placed their lower tier memory products as loss leaders, hoping to compensate for the lack of brand recognition with exponential volume of sales. Although the price is cheap in context, the performance when transferring files remains consistent.
The advantages of the memory stick duo over competing brands from sandisk or sony is lexar products are priced lower. Some stores will further discount from the MSRP in hopes to generate volume of sales. While the price is cheap, it still comes with an adpator and transfer speeds do not suffer.
The disadvantages of the product is that Lexar has a growing minority that some cameras and the PSP refuses to recognize the memory. A way to circumvent this problem does not exist, but if you are worried about that 0.1%, i suggest going with the more recognized products.
Memory stick duos are relatively simple devices to use and review. As long as it doesn't dissapoint and performs to the OEM specifications, it makes the user happy. The lexar product passes this crucial test in spades.
