Summary: Bought for Kodak 6490. This was on of the benefits to the kodak..add on lens. I wish these were 55mm instead of 58, then all my SLR lens would be available, but the fact you can add to this digital camera is great. The lens was first used to take a family reunion shot Works great. Lens and adapter both for 120.00. Not bad. Will next take picture at a baseball game. Wonderful experience to get new lens. Makes digital photography fun.

Summary: I very much like this lens. The wide angle pictures are outstanding. This lens is mainly made to use without zoom. When you zoom above 5x, you get slight distortion at the edges. This is typical of wide angle lens. You want the wide angle not the zoom because the zoom defeats the purpose of the wide angle. This is a valuable accessory to my photography tools.

Summary: I bought this wide angle lens to expand my DX7590 and make it more fun to shoot picture all around and for any occasion. Form high zoom to wide angle.

Very nice and solid lens and take good picture too. If you can get a good price for it you ought to get one. I am happy about it.
