Strengths: Has a removable USB A-B cord enabling it to be used with a longer cable. Status lights and easy setup drivers
Summary: I purchased this item to connect an amateur radio transceiver to a PC that had only one COM port that was already in use. The drivers installed easily from the CD. Once the device was connected it was immediately recognized by WinXP and became COM3. When I connected the transceiver to the device, my software immediately found the transceiver and enabled computer control of it. I highly recommend this item.

Strengths: works perfectly
Summary: I have had experience with several brands of serial adapters and they have all had one problem or another. This appears to be the best unit on the market because it has a digitally signed Windows XP certified driver! No more worries about it crashing your system, and for me it worked perfectly on two difficult-to-synchronize mobile devices (pocket PC and handheld PC) first time out of the box. I'll bet their other products are of similar quality.
