Summary: I run a small graphic design/marketing firm out of my home and, at first, I was hesitant about switching to laser from inkjet. In many of the commercial studios where I've worked in the past, by mid-day, the air would become so 'thick' with thrown-off toner, that you could smell it. My office is a much tighter space than a commercial studio, and I sit literally within a few feet of my printer.

Well, I'm pleased to say I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and the consumables it uses. There is no noticeable toner odor, even after doing a run of 20+ pages, and as an allergy sufferer, I would know; I have a VERY sensitive nose.

Which all goes to speak to the quality of the product. Tight well-manufactured casing keeps the toner where it belongs, in the print engine and not in the air. The toner itself lays down evenly, cleanly and sharply -- even when I'm doing 1/2 point rules. The black itself is rich and deep, so greyscale printing comes out sharp and clean, not faded-looking as is the case with other toners I've seen. And finally, installation itself is a breeze: just pop open the 'hood', drop it in and you're done.

In this day of less bang for the buck, its nice to see a quality product again.

Summary: I generally will only by HP printers having had bad experiences in the past (Dell, lexmark). The printers are always reliable and parts and supplies are generally easy to find both in store and online. The cartridges while expensive , do last a long time
