Strengths: Size, exceptional acquisition of satellites, ability to autoroute for car navigation
Summary: I’ve used a few handheld GPS units over the years, and I’m very happy with this unit so far. I do a lot of geocaching, and am impressed with how accurate the GPS has been with leading me right to the spot. Of course, having the proper mapping software is necessary to get maximum use, and this is costly! The autorouting feature supposedly only works with the newer versions of Garmin’s street maps, although I was able to get the autorouting to work with older mapping software after doing some research online. I think it does a nice job in the car, and it will give you warning beeps and flash text on the screen when you need to turn. So far, so good!

Strengths: Easy to use and good documentation. Good reception indoors. Sturdy design. Color screen is great. PC interface is great and software is easy to use to manage waypoints.
Summary: Very good handheld GPS. I would feel comfortable using it for hunting, ATV exploring or on the road. Plenty of features. Be sure to practice with it over a familiar route to get used how it presents navigation info. Lots of page and setup options.
