Strengths: 17-18 ppm duplex scanning, USB 2.0 speed, OCR & Adobe 8.0 software, Fujitsu customer service
Summary: I have used the S510 scanner for 1 week now, and find it excellent for both B&W and color scanning. All the features in the specs seem to be correct and relatively easy for a person with average computer skills to master. The upgrade from my existing Adobe 5.0 to 8.0 itself was worth a lot to me. I had a question and called the Fujitsu customer service number and got quick and friendly help. I also got great service from CTI, Computech International Inc. I highly recommend the scanner and CTI.

Strengths: Very fast, easy to use, includes acrobat standard, duplex, small footprint
Summary: I have used the scansnap scanners since fujitsu first came out with them. They are perfect for many small businesses because they are fast, relatively inexpensive, and they are super easy to use. You stick the paper in the scanner, push the scan button and then it kicks the document out as a pdf. It handles multi page docs, and double sided docs with no problem. This has no bed, it is sheet fed only. That is a plus for me making it small enough to stay on my desk right where I can get to it all of the time without taking up too much desk space. This scanner has saved me quite a bit of money just by the fact that I have not had to buy extra filing cabinets. The savings are even bigger, because I could not fit all of the filing cabinets I would need if I kept paper copies of my docs. I would have to pay for storage or get a bigger office.
This model has some nice enhancements over the earliest models. It folds up and back out very easily. The first models (fi-5110eox(2)) did not fold up as nicely. Also, now the scanner includes ocr software, which is actually pretty decent. All it does is make the document searchable, but that is convenient. It is slightly faster than the oldest scansnaps, but they were already plenty fast for me. Also, the rails that hold the paper in as it goes through work better now so the docs do not get askew as much. This scanner includes acrobat standard v8, a $250 program. I did prefer v 7 because I did not have to activate it and I could use it on all of my home computers. It made it easier to move the scanner around the house.
The only downfall of this scanner is that it pulls multiple pages sometimes. To get better paper handling you have to pay almost twice as much in my experience, so I can live with occasional double feeds.

Strengths: FAST! Small foot print
Summary: At first, I was disappointed-it seemed so small! But wow! Does it perform! I was utterly blown away by how quickly (and accurately) it scanned. The abby reader required a reboot BEFORE it would install (kept getting an error message on initial install). Other then that, the installation went smoothly. This is an incredible product for the small business owner. The footprint is the size of legal pad.
