Additional Warranty Information
ON-SITE SERVICE:
- OSS is provided in an effort to keep Equipment in, or return Equipment to, good working order. Exabyte shall, at its option, repair or replace Equipment, including spare parts, at the level of service defined in Appendix A. OSS does not assure uninterrupted operation of Customer's Equipment or guarantee that Equipment can be returned to good working order. Based upon the specific Equipment, OSS may include remedial and preventive maintenance. OSS includes lubrication, adjustments and the replacement of defective parts. OSS shall be performed during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 local time, excluding Exabyte holidays, unless otherwise specified in Appendix A. Customer shall provide Exabyte with full and free access to Equipment to allow Exabyte to perform OSS.
SERVICES NOT COVERED:
- Exabyte shall not be responsible for the cost of any service and/or parts replacement resulting from fraud, tampering, or the use of counterfeit components, assemblies, boards and modules. OSS does not cover external electrical work, repair of Equipment damaged by misuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment or improper service by a party other than Exabyte. If Exabyte determines that any such service(s) are required, they shall be available at Exabyte's then-current rates.
OSS does not cover accessories or consumable parts and supplies, missing parts, or those items identified by the manufacturer as being Customer's responsibility, nor does it cover Equipment relocation services, systems engineering services, programming, reinstallation of Customer's operating system or application software, or operational procedures of any sort.
