Strengths: prints fast, beautiful picture quality, prints without PC, great scanner, color LCD, memory card reader, prints on CD/DVD media, copies,
Summary: This is a very nice looking AIO printer. It can print very fast, and when you want pictures, it duplicates color very accurately and brilliantly!
Very easy to use and setup, and the utility software makes it easy to use for scanning/printing on the PC. You can also scan right to Adobe PDF format! Another nice thing is you don't even need a PC hooked up to it to print pictures, because it has PC-free printing via flash drive, memory card, PictBridge, or optional Bluetooth. The color LCD displays your photos and makes it easy to print them.
I have an Epson R320 as well, and never liked the CD/DVD holder and alignment procedure to print CD/DVDs ... and this has the same awkward way of having to align the tray before printing. When it works though the CD/DVDs look very professional!
The one thing I hope is that generic inks will work well in this printer, as that was the main point that had me purchase both the R320 & RX500 printers (they use the same exact ink carts) a few years back! I could buy all 6 generic carts for under $12 to use in those printers, and I never had a problem while using them. No clogs or incompatibilities at all!
I can easily recommend this printer to friends and family members, especially when they come with rebates that really lower the initial cost of this wonderful AIO printer.

Strengths: prints, scans clear pictures, prints on CDs, LCD screen, good price for the machine itself (not ink),
Summary: I consider this a full size, professional (for home use) all-in-one printer. It performs well when scanning and printing pictures. It's easy to use too. However, it's quite big and heavy compared to my Canon all-in-one. Although I haven't used up all the ink yet, I heard it consumes ink more quickly than most others and ink is expensive. I would only recommend getting it when you can get it at a good price. Epson often offers good deals on these printers because I think they rely on your future purchases of ink cartridges to earn more profit.

Strengths: Feature-packed. Great scan and print quality.
Summary: It has every feature I want to use as a home all-in-one: scan, copy, photo print and print on CD/DVD. That's all I need at home.
Print quality is great at the expense of extremely expensive ink. It's kinda ridiculus to see that printer with ink sometimes is cheaper than just a new pack of inks.
Scan quality is better than my previous standalone Visioneer 8100 scanner. Scanned photos still maintain vivid color. \"Epson Scan\" utility is very easy to use and can output image and PDF files directly.
