Summary: Use to have an older version of this vac years ago that serves us well. The main vacuum of this model keeps that image intact. The model is great on pet hair.

The only complaint is the extra tools this model comes with dont stay on the vacuum very well while you are using them. I would not buy the model for the tools.

Summary: I recieved this vacuum as a Christmas present this year. I am a car cleaning nut and use a hand-held vacuum a lot. This is my third Dirt Devil in almost 20 years, but this one is almost useless. The HEPA filter becomes clogged almost immediately and the vacuum disappears. Cleaning or replacing the filter does almost no good (cleaning the filter is no causual experience). It really needs a prefilter or bag ahead of the HEPA filter. If it just had common parts with my old Dirt Devils, I'd tear it apart and use the parts to fix my old ones. I can't imagine that this design passed any real-world tests before it was made. My cars aren't even dirty.
