Summary: After looking at the Boss TU-2 and Fender PT-100 chromatic tuner pedals, I decided on the Planet Waves CT04 due to its larger display. Upon receiving it, I was impressed! Not only is the Planet Waves pedal tuner built more durable than the Fender model, it's also built noticeably tougher than the Boss TU-2! The all-metal casing and heft of the Planet Waves CT04 makes it the most road-worthy pedal I've ever seen!
The tuner performs excellently, is extremely accurate, and has a very bright display. Being able to choose between bypass and muted tuning also makes it versatile. The pedal produces no noise whatsoever, making it quieter than the competition. Powering the CT04 with a 1 SPOT (or similar power source), along with a Boss PCS20A daisy chain, allows the pedal tuner to power a truckload of effects pedals, making this the perfect choice for the pedalboard!
