Strengths: Remote controlled three input switch for component video, composite audio and optical audio inputs. Cost me only $25 after mail in rebates.
Summary: Great price. Remote controlled switching. Quality is just the same as directly connecting to the receiver. Overall, a great product. Comparable products are priced 4 times higher. Don't be fooled by the low price. If you are in the market for a remote controlled component and optical switch, buy this and you will be a very happy customer !!!

Strengths: Reasonable price, no signal loss, accepts Component and optical audio inputs, has remote to switch between three inputs.
Summary: If your home theater has more cables than your TV has plugs, then this switcher is for you. This is a great piece of hardware and for the price you can't find anyting better. I have an XBox, Xbox 360 and Wii hooked up to it. All use component video. The Xbox's use optical audio cables, while the Wii uses component audio. My gripe is that if the signal comes into the box via component audio, it has to leave via component audio. Not a big deal -- but just another set of cables I had to buy since I already had the optical cable running output from the switcher to my receiver. Remember -- if you have HDMI cables you want to run to a switcher, then you'll want a different version of this product, as this box only works with component audio/video and optical audio cables.

Strengths: Easy to use, remote control
Summary: I use this mainly for switching the TOSlink signal. I have several audio devices that use the TOSlink audio connection and need additional switching. I actually use this unit with my audio receiver to provide additional switching (adding to what my receiver gives).
The biggest selling point was the remote. I was able to program my universal remote by having it learn from the little remote from this unit. Works perfectly.
No major complaints on this. I haven't needed to use it for video, but I did try it and it works fine.
