Strengths: Works well with all apple Hardware & software. All the features work and fast.
Summary: This is my second brother all-in-one. I had an mFC-6800 and went through 2 drums, which is about 50K pages. In place of buying another drum, I shelled out a few bucks more to get the latest model. (Drums and Toner are expensive, but they are cheaper than inkjets in the longhaul. Many non-apple devices do not always work as well as adverstised or have limited features to their windows counterparts. Brother has made all of it's operations work very well in the MacOS environment. Great for my small office needs.

Strengths: Great print quality, cheap to buy and use, small footprint.Picks up faxes well from non-dedicated phone line.Handles different types of media well, even single checks placed in main tray.
Summary: I bought one for my home office a year ago and have almost 10,000 pages on the counter. I was so impressed that I bought two more for my business, one of which is already over 10,000 pages. We regularly use all functions except scan and this little workhorse has never let us down. It's cheap to run, especially if you buy ink and drums online (save about 35% from retail thanks to pricegrabber!). Set up is easy and the controls are intuitive even for my non-tech savvy staff. Definite recommend for the home or small office with the following caveat: I have minimal experience with similar products to compare it to and I can't speak to the quality of the color scanner as I've never used it.

Strengths: Very fast speed, good quality
Summary: Only minor problem which I have right now is that brother has not release scanner firmware for vista so I have to use vista built in software which is fine. But by doing it output is limit either jpeg or Tiff files. I want output as PDF file. In that can it is kind of 2 step process. Ist scan as jpeg, then import it in windows then make a pdf file. Does not take that long just a minor issue.
