Summary: I purchased B2031A monitors on the strength of a firm recommendation that I received from a friend, a highly experienced audio engineer with 30+ years' professional experience. Others may cavil over some aspect of B2031A performance, particularly when compared with other monitors that are two to three times more expensive. For these fellows, there's always Mackie HR824 or equivalent. However, I'm unable to pinpoint any weaknesses with the performance of my matched pair of B2031A monitors; indeed, they are more than adequate to meet my recording/mixing needs. And, I understand that nothing lasts forever; should the amplifiers blow after the one year warranty has expired, I can either replace the amps or, better yet, purchase another pair of B2031A monitors and still be a few hundred dollars ahead of the 824s.

Other B2031A users have complained about spurious RF interference. I wrote directly to Behringer support to ask about this potential problem; their response: connections should be made by using balanced cables (e. g., equipped with TRS-TRS jacks). Despite my having thus installed balanced cables, I nevertheless experienced some minor RF interference on one occasion. However, this has not been a recurring problem.

Summary: Also like the auto power feature because if you are playing music and get distracted & this setting is engaged, the speakers power off after a few minutes. Nice smooth appearance.
