Strengths: Small, simple to install and use.
Summary: 15 minutes after installing the unit and software, it chose not to recognize my fingerprint any more - I had to delete my user enrollment and start again. Worked fine with Quicken, refused to work with WS-FTP Pro. For web site password protection you MUST use Internet Explorer only, it will not work with any other browser. I have now returned the unit for a refund as a result of this last item - the packaging makes no mention of this browser restriction.

Strengths: Small, easy to use
Summary: Very knit device at an affordable price. Saves a lot of time and head ache of remembering numerous passwords. With American Power Conversion's New Biometric Mouse Password Manager you can just scan you thumb and access any password protected directory you have. You also have assurance that nobody else can access your password protected directories except for you, of course. This tool also permits up to twenty different fingerprints or twenty different users to store passwords on a single computer system.

Strengths: Great for logging onto Win XP and if you use Internet Explorer for a web browser, not having to remember and key-in passwords or even usernames.
Summary: I highly recommend this fingerprint scanner to those who use Internet Explorer. It's a really handy tool if you have trouble remembering multiple usernames and passwords.
I wish I'd done more research \"before\" I purchased mine though, since it will not work with Mozilla Firefox browser.I use Firefox as my primary browser.
