Summary: If you have purchased the BR1500 or BX1500 I recommend adding the BR24BP battery pack.
When the electric goes out my APC BR1500 and BR24BP battery pack keep things running for a very long time, in most cases it keeps everything running until the electric comes back on.
It is amazing how long the battery power lasts, the APC BR1500 and BR24BP battery pack make a great combination.

Summary: What can you really write about a battery back-up? It looks good, in a lot of cases it is a necessity not a luxury as surge protectors are really not any help. this will give you some life after death and I really need it most because I live in Florida and basically live on my computer. Every time the slightest bit of rain there is a brown out and I was tired of flashing and destruction of my components. I actually think this is a top notch piece but as this is my first and only I have ever owned it is hard for me to compare. all I can say is do not spend more than 4125 for it soup to nuts!

Summary: I really like this UPS unit, I have owned several, all APC and they have all been very reliable. This is the best unit that APC makes. I live in Florida and these units have saved me many times over the years, between all the blackouts and brownouts in my area, I have never had a computer problem.
