Summary: I bought this item because I needed a larger key drive to transport files. Upon reading some of the reviews, I decided to get this unit. What a mistake that was.
For starters, most of the time it doesn't seem to work on most computers (and I'm not talking about older ones with 1.0 or 1.1 USB, but even brand new, state of the art units with USB 2). When it does work, it works erratically, sometimes either not powering up (regardless of whether on a powered USB hub, built-in connection, or anything), or working so slow it may as well be a serial connection. I attempted to transfer a 60 meg via this unit and an older 256meg key I have; the 256 transferred it in seconds, while this one took well over an hour - on the same exact connection on a brand new computer.
So, when in doubt, talk to the company, correct? Wrong. I tried using their FAQ, and it doesn't have any information of help. When I followed a link that went to another section of the site, that link was broken. An attempt to contact the company (via their own link) leads to a personal (not a corporate) email address, that to this date has yet to acknowledge that it has received my mail, much less answered the questions.
This product is a sham and this company is a sham as well. Beware before you throw away $100 or more on this piece of garbage.
